I'm Lena, a ceramic artist working from my studio. Every piece I make begins at the wheel — centered, coaxed into form, and slowly shaped by hand. I believe the best pottery holds the memory of being made: a slight irregularity in the rim, a glaze that pools unexpectedly, a texture that asks to be touched.
My work draws on the natural world — the way water moves across stone, the colors of earth and sky, the quiet geometry of landscapes. I work primarily in stoneware, firing at high temperatures to bring out depth and durability in each piece.
Glazes are mixed and layered in my studio. Some pieces are lush and luminous — deep cobalt blues, crimson reds, soft celadons. Others lean toward the understated: raw edges, soft sandy whites, subtle earthy tones. No two pieces are alike, and I prefer it that way.
Pieces are available through the gallery or by commission. If you see something you love, or have something in mind, I'd be happy to hear from you.
